The Dairy & Livestock program offers extraordinary educational opportunities for youth. 4-Hers involved in the Dairy & Livestock program are challenged with real-life issues as they learn responsibility through raising, showing, and judging livestock. Through raising a market or breeding animal project, members acquire knowledge and skills in the areas of animal science, business, time management, and leadership. Project areas include: beef, swine, sheep, goat, meat birds, and dairy.
Market Beef, Lamb, & Hog PPT/Video Presentations
These power point/video presentations (30-40 minutes each) are intended to help first and second year exhibitors of these market animal species learn more about the selection, grooming, handling, showmanship, etc. of their animal. They are also a great way for anyone considering one of these market animal species to learn more about what is involved in the project.
Due to website limitations, we can only post the .pdf version of the presentation. If you would like to receive the .ppt file by email, please contact Mark Wittmeyer.
