Bucket Brigade & Hot Dog Picnic

  • Saturday, May 12, 2018, 10:30 AM - 1:00 PM

Container gardens are an easy and affordable way to grow a garden, even if there is no space available for a traditional garden plot. Gardner Low will walk participants through the basics of preparing a container, mixing the correct ratio of soil ingredients, and then guide you through filling and setting your plants to create a themed bucket. With continued care, the bucket can be entered as an exhibit in the Hemlock Fair and will produce enjoyment throughout the summer and fall. All you need to bring is garden gloves (optional) and your enthusiasm. When you RSVP, select one of the themed buckets and plants or seeds will be available for you. If you prefer to bring your own plants, you certainly may! We’ll finish up with a Hot Dog Picnic to celebrate our hard work! RSVP by May 9th. Must be enrolled in 4-H to attend.
